A cover that's totally on POINTE!

I knew there was no way I was going to make it through this post without making some sort of cheesy pun, so I figured, why not put it in the title??? (Hm. This might be why I'm not usually the one who posts these...)

ANYWAY, my lame sense of humor aside, I am SO excited that I get to gush about the stunningly beautiful cover our very own Brandy Colbert FINALLY revealed this week, because OMG you guys--LOOK:

I mean... the lighting! The pops of color. EVERYTHING! I love that it's somehow both dark AND dreamy, and it's one of those images that screams: READ ME--I AM GOING TO BE AN AMAZING STORY!

And if the cover doesn't convince you, the back blurb will:
Theo is better now.
She's eating again, dating guys who are almost appropriate, and well on her way to becoming an elite ballet dancer. But when her oldest friend, Donovan, returns home after spending four long years with his kidnapper, Theo starts reliving memories about his abduction—and his abductor.
Donovan isn't talking about what happened, and even though Theo knows she didn't do anything wrong, telling the truth would put everything she's been living for at risk. But keeping quiet might be worse.

Yeah. I need to read this book, like now.

I would say more, but I have a feeling none of you are listening to me because you've all scrolled back up to stare at the pretty. And I can't blame you because I keep doing the same thing. So I'll just end by saying, if you want to add POINTE to your Goodreads shelf, you can do that HERE. And congratulations Brandy on a truly beautiful cover. So so so deserved!

We're so excited about the sequels coming our way soon and can't wait to read them! For now we have to be satisfied to drool over their gorgeous covers. And boy are they gorgeous. Congrats, Megan and Ellen on getting lucky again in the cover department. We love them!! What do you all think?

But it wasn’t enough.

Hansong is in chaos. The Demon Lord’s minions have infiltrated the city, treason is brewing among the military ranks, and Kira is buried by the overwhelming loss of her parents. She’s also plagued by the annoying feelings that blossom whenever she’s around Jaewon. But she is determined that nothing will stop her from finding the second treasure needed to fulfill the Dragon King’s prophecy. Not even the army of half-breed demons hot on their trail. If only she could learn to trust others…

Her father always said one person can change the world. Will it be Kira?

Coming January 28, 2014:

To defeat the darkness, she must first embrace it.

Months have passed since Juliet Moreau returned to civilization after escaping her father's island—and the secrets she left behind. Now, back in London once more, she is rebuilding the life she once knew and trying to forget Dr. Moreau’s horrific legacy—though someone, or something, hasn’t forgotten her.

As people close to Juliet fall victim one by one to a murderer who leaves a macabre calling card of three clawlike slashes, Juliet fears one of her father’s creations may have also escaped the island. She is determined to find the killer before Scotland Yard does, though it means awakening sides of herself she had thought long banished, and facing loves from her past she never expected to see again.

As Juliet strives to stop a killer while searching for a serum to cure her own worsening illness, she finds herself once more in the midst of a world of scandal and danger. Her heart torn in two, past bubbling to the surface, life threatened by an obsessive killer—Juliet will be lucky to escape alive.

With inspiration from Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, this is a tantalizing mystery about the hidden natures of those we love and how far we’ll go to save them from themselves.

Happy INSOMNIA day!!!!

Are you all experiencing a little INSOMNIA?? Tired, blood-shot eyes? Nervous, unspent energy? If so, you've probably been reading INSOMNIA!! It's creepy, it's twisted, it will mess with your head and your heart in the most amazing ways. And the good news is: It's now available for all!!

"After four years of sleeplessness, high school junior Parker Chipp can't take much more. Every night, instead of sleeping, he enters the dreams of the last person he's made eye contact with. If he doesn't sleep soon, Parker will die."

In honor of this awesome book, Ellen and I decided we wanted to harness Parker's power and spend a few nights watching the dreams of some of our (and Jenn's) favorite people. In order to do that, we had to make eye contact with them. We may have stalked a little, and it's possible we screamed like rabid fangirls in order to get these guys to look at us, but we did and here's what we observed in their dreams.

Adam Levine's dreams started off just like I expected. Me and him (sorry, Jenn) singing ballads to each other. I didn't even realize he remembered me from that concert where we made eye contact. But what can I say, forcing him to make eye contact with me again in order to observe his dream, must've jogged his memory because there I was, in his subconscious. But then, he began reading out loud. And do you know what book it was? Of course: INSOMNIA. So there you have it. Adam Levine dreams of me and Insomnia. Good choices, Adam, good choices.

Unlike Kasie, when I look into Henry Cavill's eyes, the only think I remember is hearing that old Salt 'n' Pepa song "Let's talk about sex baby, let's talk about you and me, let's talk about all the good things and the bad things that may be, Let's talk about it." And then he dreamed that we played scrabble all night long. Dirty scrabble...

Tom Hiddleston. Hello, Loki, who knew you had such beautiful eyes? I mean, besides me because I obviously made contact with these babies. I thought Tom's dreams would be full of ways to thwart Thor's attempts at the throne, but no, they weren't. They were just full of him laughing that semi-evil, semi-sexy laugh of his. And that's it. I think I will spend another night in his dreams because it was really creepy-cool. (Kind of guessed it......INSOMNIA)

Well I spent the night gazing into my favorite K-drama actor Gong Yoo's eyes which was an interesting experience because he dreamed that we were in a coffee shop, a la Coffee Prince, and he was teaching me how to make coffee, and I was trying to tell him that I don't like coffee when he turned around and his shirt was off. And so I just took the hot coffee and burned my tongue on it and woke up. I need to try this again, but preferably without scalding my tongue... on coffee at least...

You know, if you are going to have Insomnia, the best way to have it is with a good book in hand - or a hot man. We find good books can be more reliable so we recommend treating your Insomnia with INSOMNIA!

CONGRATULATIONS JENN!!! We love INSOMNIA! Uh, the book that is! :o)
